The Pearl of the Atlantic
Due west of Casablanca there lies an archipelago in Portugal of volcanic origin like the neighboring Canary Islands of Spain, but greener. Vineyards flourish on its hilly terraces and centenary forests blanket mountains as lush as Hawaii that pour onto inviting seascapes.
To discover its charms, esteemed members of the Producers Guild of America (PGA), Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB), and Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) converged on the Madeira archipelago for a FAM trip in late November 2022 coordinated by PSN with support from Madeira Tourism.
Watch this film for behind-the-scenes impressions of these producers and location managers. Also check out the LMGI feature article and other industry media published by KFTV and The Location Guide about the filmmakers’ visit to this unique corner of Portugal.
