Years of industry experience on the set of national and international feature films, series, commercials, and TV shows across all departments prepared Vita …
[cont.] to establish her own production service company in Lisbon during 2006.
She’s proud to have learned the nuances – from the many film departments to the cultures of the filmmakers from around the world she’s welcomed to Portugal.
The know-how she’s accrued on such a broad range of projects equips her to meet the challenges presented by locations, crew, equipment and all else with an enviable skillset that international clients trust as much on set as out on the town where Vita recommends the best places for them to unwind and enjoy her homeland.
Vita’s cooperation with the PSN Spain Partner positions the two to provide unparalleled production service across the Portuguese and Spanish territory that is the Iberian peninsula and its islands. Their comprehensive capacity in Europe’s production hot spot is a sure bet for satisfaction and smiles all around.

We service productions in
Sustainable Production
Climate change is one of the biggest threats to our planet’s future. In filmmaking, sustainable production is a path toward reconciliation and future-proofing our industry.
But for all the green measures we adopt for filming on location, there’s no denying the significant impact of the travel to get there. This must be addressed in an industry reliant on filming abroad in the most suitable locations. That’s why we’re committed to do our part to reduce and offset our carbon emissions.
HOW WE DO IT
Because we are a people business, we’re using carbon offset contributions to positively impact nature and people.
Carbon offsetting allows us to balance out our climate impact and compensate for the emissions that our travels produce. We rely on third-party verification through Sustainable Travel International (STI) to vet our carbon offset contributions. Click for latest certificate. This ensures we only fund high-quality projects that truly reduce CO2 emissions, deliver meaningful impacts, and contribute to holistic sustainability.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE AND OUR PLANET
Thanks to STI our carbon offset backs forestry and energy projects in countries where we film with our clients, from Brazil to USA and Kenya to Peru.
These projects provide meaningful benefits beyond emissions reductions that we can all support, such as creating jobs for local communities, protecting indigenous land rights, preventing the loss of tropical rainforests, and bringing clean drinking water, improved healthcare, and education to rural communities.
These measures speak to the core values of PSN founders Cris Mateo-Yanguas and Michael Moffett – avid travelers ever-mindful of our planet’s delicate balance.
OUR COMMITTMENT
At PSN headquarters, we pledged with STI to offset the carbon footprint of all our travel from January 2021. Because we know that air travel accounts for the majority of emissions generated during international trips, we offset the footprint of all our flights to/from the destination. We also offset the carbon emitted by our office operations.
But this is just one piece of our overall sustainability strategy. PSN Partners provided input from all corners of the globe to complement Green The Bid‘s 2023 publication of The Complete Green Service Company Production Manual. PSN announced the launch of the Manual at The World Producers’ Summit at Cannes Lions that same year and later joined the Ciclope Town Hall with an international panel of GTB members to transmit the spirit behind the publication to the commercial film industry. PSN has also sponsored industry discussions like the KFTV Sustainability Talk to make known the challenges facing film hubs of lesser developed countries.

As STI Climate Rangers we use our global presence to raise awareness and set an example for our producer clients to follow when working with our Partners in film hubs worldwide. How else can we legitimately encourage producers, creatives, and stakeholders to take advantage of remote production convenience and only fly the essential people to set? How much easier can we make it for those who travel to calculate the carbon footprint of their flight and offset it? Click here to find out.
AGENTS OF CHANGE
PSN’s pledge to Green the Bid and adopt measures of the PGA Green Production Guide equips our production service company Partners with the tools needed to educate their local crew and suppliers. This is a key step toward achieving sustainable production planetwide.
We invite studios and streamers, brands and agencies, producers, and creatives to work with us to preserve our precious planet for a future generation of storytellers.

Some Case Studies
WARNER HORIZON TELEVISION | THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Case Study - Max (HBO)
The brief: To portray an American flight attendant escaping from a far-flung country where she’s the prime suspect of a gruesome murder in a hotel penthouse.
The request: To pitch the concept to the film office and suitable hotels in a GCC territory. Authorities would ultimately disapprove of the scene.
The result: Golden Globes and Writers Guild Nominations! We pivoted the show’s creators to determine a feasible alternative location. “Thank you so much to the entire Bangkok crew for helping us to bring The Flight Attendant to life. We’re beyond grateful for all the hard work!” Showrunners Meredith Lavender & Marcie Ulin.

NETFLIX | MEDICAL POLICE
Case Study - Netflix
See how we worked with producers of a Netflix series to hone-in on the most suitable location.
The brief: Film a greenlit streamer series portraying a global pandemic with minimal travel.
The request: Scour the world for one country to double as many for a script still in development.
The result: Abominable Pictures EP, Jonathan Stern, chose Croatia to film scenes set in Germany, Latvia, and Italy. ‘We went with just 2 days of in-person prep for a 10-day shoot. We had to do all our scouting, casting, and work with department heads online, with an 9-hour time-zone difference. And everything went perfectly. On budget, on schedule, great people, fun experience, and creatively very successful.”
LG | GRAM
Case Study - LG
Check out how we pivoted a commercial producer toward an unimagined alternative for an LG campaign.

The result: Find dunes alternative to relocate production to desert landscapes under an hour’s drive from Dubai in UAE.

Long Form
PSN is the traveling producers’ local partner for everything below the line. Our one-stop-shop of top-tier production service companies provides main and second unit film support in more than 100 countries.
PSN can streamline development for producers looking to film overseas. We evaluate projects with producers to help determine the most suitable places to film. We don’t finance projects, but we do identify where local incentives can fill a critical gap. We can then connect producers to vetted, local service producers in the most promising places for production.
This dialogue paves the way for sure footing as producers move into actual filming in a foreign country. It also inspires confidence in professional management of all paperwork and accounting to satisfy foreign studios and producers as well as local authorities which grant film incentives after successful completion of an audit.
Each PSN Partner is a full-fledged production service company with local expertise at all aspects of live action film production in its country. PSN Partners keep at the top of their game servicing commercial film productions for global brands. That same skillset primes them to deliver all local needs as the main unit support or 2nd unit for film and TV productions executed with a wide range of budgets. No matter the project’s scope, PSN Partners remain focused on their craft – to ensure a smooth and successful shoot on location.
PSN is a business member of PGGB (Production Guild of Great Britain), working frequently with its members as well as those in other leading industry entities like PACT (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television in UK) and the International Committee at PGA (Producers Guild of America).
