Some Case Studies

Warner Horizon Television | The Flight Attendant

Production Service in Thailand, Italy, Germany, and Iceland

“Golden Globes and Writers Guild Nominations! Thank you so much to the entire Bangkok crew for helping us to bring The Flight Attendant to life. We’re beyond grateful for all the hard work!”
Showrunners Meredith Lavender & Marcie Ulin

Season 1 kicks off with murder most foul in the modern Asian metropolis of Bangkok.  Other scenes doubling for Seoul, Korea were also lensed during the week of Thai filming. The show then moved production to Italy for scenes which required the securing of a whole gate at one of Europe’s busiest airports.

“Our experience was nothing less than successful and completely professional,” wrote Warner Horizon VP of Production, Lisa Cochran. “The footage looks fantastic and both your production teams received great reviews. We’ll talk more in the future.”

CORONA | FREE RANGE HUMANS, EP. 2, THE JUNGLE ENGINEER

Production Service in Colombia and Brazil

Remote streaming can transport filmmakers to multiple locations at the flip of a switch. Video conference calls between Rocket Film director Klaus Obermeyer and PSN Partners in Brazil and Colombia prepared the way behind the scenes for trailblazing films featuring Free Range Humans for Corona Studios. Executed in times of pandemic, Obermeyer conducted in-depth interviews with a woman surfer in Brazil and a jungle engineer in Colombia in their native language via a streamed signal. He then selected a local DOP to execute his vision of each personal voyage based on the narratives.

Flawless execution of such unique opportunities on the basis of an elaborate shot sheet is only achieved with planning, but helped along by the trust that comes with familiarity.  Creatives leading this project for agency Pereira O’Dell had worked with local DOPs and members of the PSN teams before.

Honored we are to showcase PSN Partner collaboration devised in record time to deliver the Stella Artois ”Christmas Miracle”. Directed remotely from Spain by Raquel Marvez, the film captures a genuine holiday family meal held simultaneously in New York and Mexico City.

“BIGGEST thank you to each and every one of you, and all of the other crew members on set today. You did the most amazing job with a 5-day turnaround! The shots looked beautiful, the set looked beautiful, the food looked beautiful, the BEER looked beautiful, everything was spot on!”

Lego | Rebuild the World

Production Service in Singapore, USA, and Brazil

Lego set out to Rebuild The World with kids’ imaginations. PSN Partners worked remotely with the We Are Social London office to capture these intimate tales with youngsters in locations as widespread as Singapore, New York City and Sao Paulo.

For the first shoot in Brazil, Senior Producer, Jennifer Lawlor recalls “Running a remote production from London in São Paulo could have been a really tricky experience but they made it enjoyable with a great result. They were endlessly helpful, thorough, proactive and transparent. We couldn’t recommend them more.”

Soon enough, she called on PSN local support to achieve the same in Singapore. “From the get-go Pete and his team understood the creative, the budget and what we were aiming to achieve. They are fast to respond (even with the 7-hour time difference!), flexible, and really experienced working with global teams. They understood how we needed to work whilst ensuring the local ways of working were adhered to too (especially important during COVID).”

Stage entertainer Billy Porter added theatrical sparkle to the film that followed in New York City.

Netflix | Habib

Production Service in Serbia and Turkey

Filming at an actual prison presents unique challenges in order to secure the necessary permits, particularly on a deadline. Producers of the Netflix MENA thriller Habib turned to PSN Partners for a solution when their calendar did not allow sufficient days to secure the needed permit in Turkey.

Already at work with the team at PSN Turkey to film other scenes of their series, the producers worked with our Partners to fast track the shoot permit at a suitable prison in a nearby country and secure travel visas for more than a dozen of the Habib production team.

PSN Serbia found and secured the prison that would be used for pivotal sequences of the series.

Facebook | Intentional Connections

Production Service in Spain, Brazil, and Ghana

The social network put the global connectivity of PSN to the test in a campaign to showcase its Intentional Connections.

Director John Poliquin helmed the project from Spain where he worked with our PSN Partner on location while employing a remote connection to also direct his trusted DoPs on set with PSN teams in Brazil and Ghana.  All in all he worked with PSN on three continents to lens scenes set in 6 countries.
