Some Case Studies
WARNER HORIZON TELEVISION | THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Case Study - Max (HBO)
The brief: To portray an American flight attendant escaping from a far-flung country where she’s the prime suspect of a gruesome murder in a hotel penthouse.
The request: To pitch the concept to the film office and suitable hotels in a GCC territory. Authorities would ultimately disapprove of the scene.
The result: Golden Globes and Writers Guild Nominations! We pivoted the show’s creators to determine a feasible alternative location. “Thank you so much to the entire Bangkok crew for helping us to bring The Flight Attendant to life. We’re beyond grateful for all the hard work!” Showrunners Meredith Lavender & Marcie Ulin.

NETFLIX | MEDICAL POLICE
Case Study - Netflix
See how we worked with producers of a Netflix series to hone-in on the most suitable location.
The brief: Film a greenlit streamer series portraying a global pandemic with minimal travel.
The request: Scour the world for one country to double as many for a script still in development.
The result: Abominable Pictures EP, Jonathan Stern, chose Croatia to film scenes set in Germany, Latvia, and Italy. ‘We went with just 2 days of in-person prep for a 10-day shoot. We had to do all our scouting, casting, and work with department heads online, with an 9-hour time-zone difference. And everything went perfectly. On budget, on schedule, great people, fun experience, and creatively very successful.”
